InterTech aims to support innovation activities of enterprises and institutions in the involved regions. The introduction of key enabling technologies in a company or an institution accelerates innovation processes and increases the production efficieny for long-term competitive products.
An interregional network is created in order to strengthen economic relationships, working groups and cooperation by means of different proposed activities.
The duration of InterTech will be from June 2012 to March 2015, focusing the activities on the regions of South Tyrol, Tyrol and Treviso. However, other activities will also be held in the adjacent regions.
This project is adressed to the educational entities, R&D centers and enterprises from the manufacturing sector, that represent between a 22% and 30% of the employment in the involved regions and about one quarter and one third of their GDP.
The leading partner of the project is TIS Techno Innovation South Tyrol, Bolzano. The project partners are Standortagentur Tirol, Unternehmerverband Südtirol, Treviso Tecnologia and associated partners, Europaregion Tirol-Südtirol–Trentino and Euregio Inntal, who all share their network and knowledge within this project.
